Day #3 of My Challenge...It's the Simple Things

Since I'm on summer vacation Mason and I are able to take it easy. It is so nice waking up in the morning and just take it easy instead of rush, rush, rush like we do during the school year! I love not having to be anywhere at any certain time. This is a big stress relief for me since I tend to be constantly running late! Anyway, we were able to go to lunch with my mom which was very nice. Lunch dates are one of my favorite things to do in the summer since all school year long I'm eating lunch with my students in the school cafeteria. It's a simple thing that makes me happy...then I started wondering. What are some other simple things that make me happy?

*spending time with the ones I love
*homegrown tomato sandwiches
*the smell of the grill when its fired up (charcoal)
*the smell of fresh cut grass
*listening to Mason laugh

I'm sure I could think of some more but instead I want to hear about the simple things that make you happy. Please share them because another simple thing that makes me happy is when people leave me comments! ;)

Happy Thursday everyone! Until next time...

Heather

    1. Being loved by an awesome 8 year old, who is not yet to big to sit in my lap and read a book with me.

    3. Sitting on the beach with a good book. (simple and free:)
    4. There are many more, but it is almost time for VBS.. Another simple thing in life watching 190 kids making crafts as they talk all about JESUS..

  2. Heather - I have to agree about the eating lunch out. I don't think that the ones who do this on a regular basis realize what a treat it is for teachers who don't get to eat out. I also enjoy staying up late to watch a movie and not worry about what kind of mood I'll be in the next because I can sleep in to make up the time! :)Stephanie Chaltry

Please remember the golden rule...if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all! Thanks!!
